Overview of role:
This is a hands-on role; the successful candidate will carry out electrical connections on new build sites and assist and supervise the Cor-Energy Solar PV installers working on site.
Working closely with the Project Manager, the role will include the scoping, planning, internal resource and/or external contractors to help deliver projects from inception through to successful completion (cradle-to-grave).
The position is to cover the Southeast region of England including Kent, Sussex, Surrey and London.
The successful candidate must be comfortable and capable of supervising a number of projects (at different locations) at any one time and must be a fully time-served approved electrician, holding the relevant electrical qualifications.
The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual and team player with the communication skills, energy and focus to manage and support a busy pipeline of projects. The ideal candidate will also be a good all-rounder who can manage projects on-site with minimal supervision, whilst flourishing under pressure and thriving when faced with challenge.
Required Skills & Experience
- Comprehensive understanding of electrical installations, testing & inspection
- An understanding of domestic-scale solar PV systems is essential
- Experienced electrician (2 years qualified+)
- Experienced at a supervisor/management level
- JIB approved electrician
- SMSTS (essential)
- Gold ECS card
- First Aid
- Pasma
- IPAF
- 18th Edition
- City & Guilds 2391 inspection and testing (or equivalent)
- Engineering technical excellence and pride in work / project outcomes
- Strong engineering thinking
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise well when managing multiple projects at a time
- Strong attention to detail, accurate and methodical in work to overcome challenges and see projects through to completion
- Ability to deal with complex tasks under pressure
- Clear communicator, confident in communicating and influencing at all levels
- Ability to build relationships and a good rapport with clients to generate confidence
- Experienced Excel user (preferred, but not essential)
- Full UK driving licence
