Job description
We are recruiting for a Permanent Skilled Controls Electrician for a global manufacturing company in Ferndown, Dorset.
The company produces innovative over wrapping machinery that is supplied to some of the world’s biggest names in Confectionery, Cosmetics, Food and Tobacco industries.
Salary: £15.27 per hour depending on experience with regular overtime paid at £22.90 per hour
Hours: 07:30 to 16:45 Monday to Thursday & 07:30 to 12:30 Friday (45 minutes unpaid break at 12:30 hours)
The Role:
- All panel building and wiring - working from electrical drawings.
- Installation of electrical panels into machines.
- Machine wiring, termination to electrical panel.
- Undertake electrical tests, safety check and complete appropriate documentation.
- Assist, where required, with other tasks within the Controls Department, such as physical wiring inspections, installation checks, machine testing, etc.
- Ability to read and fully comprehend engineering drawings is essential.
- Main Machine wiring within the machine frame.
- Completed Panel Testing
Experience Required:
- At least 2 years of experience of panel board population, AND / OR
- Machine wiring and testing of complex electromechanical machines.
- Ability to read and follow electrical circuit drawings.
