As Maintenance Electrician at Sodexo, you will be the go-to person, the one with the answers to everyone's questions, and the one who knows how to keep the facilities operating smoothly. You will be the specialist who will provide technical advice and support for the maintenance of equipment, building fabric, and utility services across Queens Hospital estate, Romford. What you’ll do:
- Ensure the safe operation and maintenance of all plant and equipment within the hospital estate, carrying out a range of repairs and new works to a high standard. You will be responsible for the service, installation, maintenance, and testing of complex plant & equipment systems.
- Comply with all Company and Client policies and procedures, and statutory regulations, including health and safety, safe working practices, hygiene, cleanliness, fire, COSHH. This will include your awareness of any specific hazards in your workplace
- Actively champion a safe and healthy environment for patients, visitors, and staff
What you bring:
- We are looking for a fully qualified Electrician holding a City & Guilds/NVQ qualification, or equivalent. You must be qualified to 18th Edition IET Regulations.
- As Sodexo embeds a strong Safety culture in everything we do there will be procedures, site specific guidelines/ requirements and regulations to follow such so it is vital that you have a good understand of Health and Safety at Work regulation and previous experience adhering to set engineering standards.
- You must be a strong team player with great communication skills, who enjoys working as part of a well established team. You must be able to work unsupervised and be able to prioritise work tasks whilst remaining calm under pressure/ You will also need to have a basic knowledge of use of a tablet or an I-pad.
- Ability to keep work pace and meet deadlines, along with good organisation skills
- Great communication skills, strong teamwork, and a positive attitude
