Job description

We are looking for an experienced Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and components in both residential and commercial settings. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of electrical wiring, circuitry, and safety protocols. He or she must also be able to work independently and have excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components.
• Read blueprints and diagrams to determine the layout of electrical systems.
• Inspect and test electrical systems and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
• Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment to diagnose and repair electrical problems.
• Install wiring systems in new construction projects.
• Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £15.00-£16.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Newcastle upon Tyne: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• electrical: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (required)
