The Global Workplace Solutions & Services team provides support for the Pfizer Small Molecule clinical portfolio in the manufacture of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) Pilot Plant and Oral Solid Dose Manufacturing at their Site in Sandwich, Kent.
Our team is responsible for the maintenance incl. conditional base monitoring, installation and continuous improvement of pharmaceutical equipment including batch reactors, HVAC and building services including back-up generators and laboratory equipment.
Work Location: Sandwich, Kent (full time on site)
Position Purpose
You will have the exciting and varied opportunity to provide Electrical maintenance support across multiple manufacturing areas including Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient Synthesis, Oral Solid Dose Manufacture, supporting laboratories and building supply services.
Primary Duties:

Perform planned maintenance in accordance with work order instructions and associated procedures.

Competent in carrying out Visual/Close/Detail inspections of electrical equipment located in explosive atmospheres (preferred but training available)
-
Competent in installation and programming of variable speed drives (ABB, Danfoss, Eurotherm).

Working knowledge of the following electrical systems/equipment: electrical distribution systems, lighting Systems, motor control centres, UPS and essential power systems i.e. standby generation.

Respond to equipment breakdowns, provide first line diagnostic and arrange or self-schedule, components and (if necessary) resource for repair.

Perform plant condition-based monitoring using thermal imaging, vibration analysis and ultrasonic detection equipment.

Make provision for safe system of work including isolations for self & 3rd parties.

Write Risk Assessment and Method statements

Arrange and work to Permit To Work where relevant

Complete electronic notification and/or paper documents to confirm completion of tasks

Perform equipment and installation testing in accordance with scheduled, documented tasks and relevant standards
-
Report equipment services or events which are out of regulatory compliance using relevant procedure

Communicate equipment status to Operational Personnel

Support Third Party resources to complete contracted tasks
Skills & Behaviours Required:
-
Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering
-
NVQ Level 3 and Diploma or HNC in Electrical Engineering or recognised equivalent qualification.

Have a high level of Interest and technical expertise within core trade

Trained in Compex Ex01-04 preferred (Training available)

IET 18th edition wiring regulations City & Guilds 2382

Competent in carrying out Industrial electrical isolations, In-Service Inspection and testing of electrical equipment including Motors and Inverters.

Experience preferred working within Pharmaceutical or Regulated Environment and knowledge of GxP in Engineering Applications and Principals

Must possess the technical knowledge and experience necessary to carry out the Primary Duties as described.

Ability to drive own Personal Development, creating SMART Goals.

In touch with new emerging technologies and how they can be incorporated into Pfizer Engineering System and Plant Maintenance.

Competent with Microsoft Office Applications and Computer Maintenance Management Systems.
