Job description
Electrical Maintenance Engineer - The Heygate Group of Companies is a privately owned and family led Group. There is an opportunity for a full time day shift Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their close-knit team at their Bugbrooke Mill. Applicants must have a recognised qualification and be used to maintaining a diverse range of equipment.
Fault finding and maintenance on;
- Production machines and their control systems
- PLC and computer control systems
- Plant services and their control systems
Fully understand electrical drawings and symbols
Have experience of scheduled, preventative and reactive maintenance tasks
Preventative maintenance on;
- Process systems
- Safety systems
- Electrical distribution
Design of simple electrical control systems;
- Producing drawings
- Ordering parts
- Constructing and building from design
- Installing
- Commissioning
Distinct advantages
Experience of PLC systems and software, in particular Mitsubishi or Siemens logic
Multi-skilled electrically biased with mechanical and pneumatics experience
Previous experience of food industry plant machinery
Hours;
- Monday - Friday 07:30 – 17:30 with 1 hr lunch
- 7.5 hrs/day @ basic rate
- O/T hours paid @ 1.5 x basic rate from 06:00 Monday until 14:00 Saturday
- O/T hours paid @ 2 x basic rate from 14:00 Saturday until 06:00 Monday
Following a maximum 6 month satisfactory probationary period all electricians are on-call via a rota system - with the option to work nights for the call-out week
