About the role:
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly motivated team of Electrical Installers, you will be manufacturing and installing electrical circuits and communication systems into mobile workspaces, military and specialist vehicles and various electrical products and equipment.
You will be playing an important role in some high-profile military projects, and your ideas and contribution will be valued in a medium-sized business where people really matter. Training will be provided on the products and there is scope for further development and progression within the Company.
You will:
- Carry out manufacture, assembly and build of Land Systems specialist projects using engineering drawings and associated design data to meet the business and customer expectations to BS7671 standards.
- Ensure all tasks are carried out within the allocated time.
- To work to Land Systems configuration control processes.
- To ensure MLS production processes and procedures are maintained.
- To follow and work in line with MADG Health and Safety management systems.
- Take an active role in continuous improvements to include lean and 5S procedures, ensuring a clean, compliant work area is maintained at all times.
- Attend and support production meetings if required.
- Entry of job bookings on ERP system.
We encourage you to apply if you have most of the following:
- Conversant with AC/DC circuits and single and three-phase supplies.
- Capable of building looms and harnesses comprising military type connectors.
- Capable of soldering, crimping and general small-scale, low-gauge wiring.
- Have previous experience of intricate panel wiring.
- Qualification in BS7671 17th/18th edition Requirements for Electrical Installations (must be willing to upgrade from 17th to 18th if already held. If not held training will be provided).
Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 3 or higher qualification in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline - essential
- City & Guilds 2365 Level 2/3 Diploma in Electrical Installations (Building & Structures, or equivalent electrical qualification) - desirable
- IPC-A-620 Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies - desirable
We will also consider high-potential candidates who don’t hold these qualifications, but who are keen to learn.
Based in the UK, with operations in Canada, Marshall Land Systems specialises in the design and production of deployable operational infrastructure and mission support for humanitarian, defence and security operations across the globe.
Other core services include the integration of complex systems into a range of vehicles for use by the military and security services including explosive ordnance disposal and battlefield ambulances all underpinned by a full in-life managed service provision to ensure customers‘ equipment is available where and when they need it.
