Electrical installation Engineer (Improver) Procol Ltd specialise in providing consistently high quality Mechanical and Electrical installations to the Datacentre and Telecoms industries as well as refurbishment of technical and office environments for ‘blue chip’ companies. Procol operates throughout the UK, with the majority of projects within the South of England, and the majority of works being upgrades or refurbishments to existing technical facilities for the UK’s most valuable brand! Role Responsibilities To carryout Electrical installation works alongside an approved installation engineer to – • Small power and lighting installs. • Distribution Board installs. • AHU, Chiller, and Generator power installs (commissioned by manufacturer on completion of installation) • Alarm wiring to SCADA / MODBUS from equipment installed. • Testing and certification of electrical circuits. • To ensure that projects are completed to Safety, Quality, Time and Cost measures ensuring that we always exceed our client’s expectations to realise repeat business opportunities. Projects would generally be within the Datacentre and telecommunications industry, upgrading or replacing electrical systems, but also creating or refitting related support offices and network management centres often also requiring high levels of redundancy in design. This is a Nationwide role, but most contracts and sites are in the Birmingham and M4/M3 corridor and London areas. Applicants will be required to travel to projects within the UK with overnight lodging provided when the project requires. Candidate Profile: • The successful candidate would ideally demonstrate knowledge of datacentre and/or telecoms electrical systems derived through site experience. • Willing to work towards NVQ level 3 (ECS Gold Card standard). Good attention to detail and quality of finish • Willing to work towards SSSTS / SMSTS, 18th Edition or City and Guilds test and inspection qualifications would be advantageous • We would also encourage applications from improvers, and we would consider providing training to successful candidates. • Due to the sensitive nature of our work, we will need to carry out DBS checks and further security checks, you must have the right to work in the UK Location: This is a Nationwide role, but most contracts and sites are in the Birmingham and M4/M3 corridor and London areas.
