Job description
Introduction
This is a hybrid role with 1-2 days per week required on site. The rest of the work can be done from home. You may also need to visit client sites however this will be expensed for you.
My client is a defence and engineering consultancy who work closely with the Royal Navy and other government clients.
They are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to assist and support the Design Manager in the delivery of complex engineering projects.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Engineering Lead in the delivery of electrical projects.
- Problem solve technical solutions.
- Support the review of new designs.
- Supervise, prepare and check designs, reports and other documents in support of nuclear licenses and project requirements.
Skills & experience
- Experience designing some of the below:
- High voltage AC and DC systems
- Fire detection alarms, emergency lighting
- Control & instrument systems
- Communication systems
- Low voltage electrical distribution systems
- Good knowledge in the technical delivery of complex designs across the full design lifecycle.
- Experience in project delivery.
- Experience designing in either construction, operation, or refit/repair of complex regulated facilities.
