Rate of Pay: $150,700 - $160,700
Job Duties: Develop and validate next generation robotic platforms used within the medical device space. Contribute to the architecture, development, and execution of electrical systems design. Build schematics and printed circuit board layouts for new electronics designs and test fixtures, including low-noise analog, power electronics, and high-speed digital circuits. Work with multifunctional engineers (electrical, mechanical, software, etc.) to develop coordinated solutions to sophisticated problems. Prototype and test new circuits for state-of-the-art medical robotic devices. Perform board bring-up testing and analysis ensuring signal integrity, power and thermal performance, and core functionality. Analyze and interpret electrical system/subsystem requirements and specifications. Write electronic hardware documentation and generate electronic release packages in accordance with quality standards. Develop test plans and analyze data for subsystems including power, safety, video, motion control, life-cycle, thermal performance, etc. Design system interfaces and interconnects to meet high performance standards. Participate in subsystem failure mode analysis to ensure safe and efficacious system designs.
Qualifications
Requirements:
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field and 2 years of work experience in the job offered, or in an engineering-related occupation.
Position requires:
1. Oscilloscopes, DC power supplies, and DMM’s;
2. Circuit design and electrical engineering theory;
3. Interpreting schematics for board bring-up, debug, test, and verification;
4. PCB design or firmware design;
5. PCB assembly, SMT soldering and rework, or cable assembly; and
6. Compliance with 60601-1, CISPR 22, UL, TUV, or 21 CFR 820.
