Electrical Engineer

Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer looking to take your career and experience to new heights?

Due to a period of growth within a busy Engineering department we have the pleasure of recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer. In this position you will be working closely with the Mechanical and Electrical Engineers and site operational teams to work on all planned and reactive maintenance across this unique site.

This role is integral to the Engineering department. You will be working for a leading services sector business, responsible for providing daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly PPM works.

Please note: This role is shift based and includes weekend working.

You will be reporting into the Engineering Supervisor and the main responsibilities and duties of the role are:

• Carry out risk assessments and method statements for any unscheduled maintenance activity
• Knowledge of AC/DC drives & PLC’S
• You MUST be able to read electrical schematics of control systems
• Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems of work
• To provide support to the daily operation, dealing with breakdowns and routine maintenance, through applying problem solving skills to diagnose and rectify problems.
• To carry out mechanical and electrical inspection activities
• Understanding of safe contractor control
• Inspection experience
• Involvement for planning of all annual PPM with Line Manager
• Provide regular maintenance updates
• Participate in relevant maintenance meetings
• To ensure that any potential health and safety hazards are addressed as quickly as possible and reported as necessary

Experience Required

To be successful in this role you must demonstrate the ability to have good communication skills and act as a role model to other Engineers within the department.


Qualifications

• You must have a Level 3 NVQ, HND or HNC within a relevant Mechanical Engineering discipline AND have completed a relevant apprenticeship.
• 18th Edition
