Are you an Electrical Design Engineer? Join our team working on our DV2 contract in Stepps offices, Glasgow!
As the Electrical Design Engineer, you will be working directly for the Senior Electrical Design Engineer within our Technical Services department. You will work with other key team members in delivering detailed design services including the production of various design deliverables. You will also be responsible for Electrical Design implementation. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate some years of experience of working within the Water and Waste-Water sector or Industrial equivalents.
As the Mechanical Design Engineer your duties & responsibilities will include:
- To assess capability/ capacity of existing and new assets for water and waste- water treatment whilst managing cost and time constraints
- Proven skills to successfully control and manage workload and the implementation of company and project procedures
- You will be working to develop best practices, routines, and innovative solutions
- You will design for new asset and process improvement
- You will have the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with key people both internally and externally
- You should have an understanding of industry standards
Skills & Knowledge Requirements:
- Do you hold an Electrical Degree / HND / HNC or equivalent in engineering or related discipline? This is essential to be successful in this role.
- Are you conversant with Microsoft applications; Word, Excel, Word?
- Ideally you should have experience in design development for clean / wastewater non infrastructure but this is not essential
- You will have working knowledge of engineering drawings (process flow diagrams, piping & instrumentation drawings, equipment/system layout drawings).
- Are you knowledgeable in specification of process/treatment equipment, instruments, and controls?
- You will be able to work on the development of load schedule, SLD’s BCD’s
- You will have the opportunity to work engineering reports & calculations and feasibility studies
