Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater, Are you an experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineer looking to join an expanding team and contribute your knowledge and skills to one of the nation's key infrastructure projects? Opportunity… The HPC Commissioning Team is growing as part of its preparation to commission the first nuclear power station to be built in a generation at Hinkley Point C (HPC). We are seeking an Electrical Commissioning Engineer who will be responsible for contributing to the safe and effective commissioning, of electrical systems within HPC. This includes system voltages at 400kV, 27kV, 10kV, 690, 400V, 220VDC and control voltages. You will be able to work with plans and meet tight deadlines. As the Electrical Commissioning Engineer, you will be acting under the direction and control of NNB Commissioning programme. Building successful collaborative relationships with, ors, the HPC project delivery team, site engineering and the plant operational organisation will be critical to ensuring success within your role. What you'll be doing… Ensure all resources are identified and in place prior to commencement of defined work scope, including (not limited to): documentation (work instruction, risk assessment, COSHH assessment, tools, equipment etc.). Communication of key information applicable to work scope to include (not limited to) scope, Safety Rules, Point of Work Risk Assessment, permit limitations etc. Implementation of handover and acceptance process requirements including review and acceptance of handover documentation and walkdown and verification of system completion. Supporting I&C, Mechanical & Process Systems Commissioning Engineers with regard to the Electrical aspects of their systems and activities. Execution of Electrical commissioning tests in accordance with approved procedures and plant/ system acceptance criteria. And recording of Electrical test results and supporting data in line with commissioning procedures and arrangements. Identification of faults and design errors including troubleshooting and potential investigations. Mark up of drawings to allow them to progress to as built status. Escalation of issues and as applicable the raising of Open Points and Implementation and removal of modifications. Checking and maintaining configuration data for Electrical systems and components. Surveillance of test activities performed by others e.g. on site and off site testing and may include Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT). Entry of applicable key data into commissioning to IT tools as required. Identification and communication of OPEX associated with the work being executed Who you are… Strong background in a nuclear or power generation/transmission or oil & gas industrial environment. Preferred knowledge of nuclear power generation. Strong technical background in high voltage, and transformers. Preferred experience in commissioning or engineering of Power generation/transmission/Protection. Demonstrable history of working within safety and quality cultures. Track record of major project delivery in a technical role. Good communication skills and the ability to convey complex information to others. Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant Electrical engineering discipline. Experience of working in a regulatory environment.
