EHR Medical, Subject Matter Expert (SME) - Acute Medical.
We are actively seeing a Doctor from a Acute Medical background to assist us in the implementation of our Electronic Health Records System, group wide across HCA private patient hospitals. This would suit a Junior Doctor or Consultant on an alternative career pathway, who has a passion for project work and digital transformation.
Location: 1 London Bridge with expectations to visit other sites / some remote weekly working too.
Salary: Whilst Medical knowledge is required, the functions of this role is in the capacity, of a non clinical office based advisory and project delivery role and therefore this reflects in the salary offering.

A multi-million-pound investment, and part of our long-term digital transformation initiative. Focused on advancing our technology and integrating web-based navigation, this EHR will allow HCA UK clinicians and colleagues to enhance patient safety, quality and care.
We are investing in a new project team bespoke workforce, 292 new colleagues, focused on digital change management, transforming work practices, across the UK 30 sites, including Primary and Secondary Care.
Subject Matter Expert “SME” Summary:
As a Medical Subject Matter Expert, the successful candidate will be an expert in their clinical or operational area and highly credible among their colleagues. Subject Matter Experts play a key role in ensuring that the programme accurately captures and responds to clinical and operational need and translate current workflows into the digital arena. The postholder will be required to work with the wider programme team to support the EHR roll out and transformation of HCA to new digital systems and technologies.
Key responsibilities include:
To provide specialist input to the HCA EHR Programme, work with partnership with the EHR Consultant representatives, attend events and workflow testing as required, provide relevant expertise according to their role and care setting.
Input specialist knowledge regarding National standards and local policies and protocols. Identify and document programme risks and clinical hazards associated with their clinical area within the EHR programme.
You will also be heavily involved in inputting, reviewing and approving training materials to help ensure clinical and operational stability during change.
Undertake training and support the go-lives as a super-user, to train and support local EHR
champions.
Focus on users needs, patient pathways and patient safety throughout the transition from old to new systems and ways of working, from a functionality perspective.
Successful candidates will need:
- Registered GMC Medical Professional with experience in NHS or UK Private healthcare.
- Significant experience in Acute Medicine
- Experience of digital solutions in healthcare.
- Experience in projects, mentoring or training individuals, through change.
- User of EHR/EPR/EMA systems.
- Significant knowledge and experience in specialist trained medical area.
- Excellent stakeholder management experience.
