Older Adult Community Mental Health Team

37.5 hours per week – permanent post
This is an opportunity for an innovative, enthusiastic Occupational Therapist (OT) to join the Older Adult Community Mental Health Team in Aberdeenshire Health & Social Care Partnership.
This post will be located in Aberdeenshire North until March 2024 and thereafter location within Aberdeenshire will be confirmed.
Working within the MDT, the post holder will carry out specialised Occupational Therapy assessment and provide interventions for older adults with functional or organic mental illness. This can be in peoples own homes, community settings and community hospital.
There will be a role in supervision of OT staff and in developing the Older Adult Mental Health OT service. The post holder will be operationally managed within the multi-disciplinary team, with professional supervision and links to the wider Older Adult Mental Health OT team.
Applicants will have experience in mental health and use of standardised OT assessments. AMPS licence is desirable, as is experience in QI, audit, and service development. The post holder will be able to work using own initiative and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
A driving licence and access to a car required is required for this post. Flexible working, including evening and weekend work may be required to meet service demands.
Regular supervision and support will be provided as will the opportunity to develop through the use of an annual appraisal and a personal development plan.
