4 x Full time post – 37.5 hours per week
12 hour shift pattern, working across 7 days
NHS Grampian’s Mental Health and Learning Disability Service are looking to recruit four Activity HCSW’s, one for each adult mental health ward; Dunnottar, Huntly, Fraser and New Fyvie Ward.
The service plans to reopen the 4th adult mental health admission ward following a temporary closure in response to the pandemic. There is currently no opening date confirmed. However, once opened each ward will be a 18 bed acute admission ward within Royal Cornhill Hospital to care for adults 18-65yrs experiencing functional mental health problems.
The AMH Activity HCSW team will be led by our Wellbeing and Enablement Practitioner. The team will have responsibility for organising and facilitating therapeutic interventions and meaningful activity for patients across the four wards. The successful candidates will work alongside the MDT to promote recovery and support discharge. This will include 1:1/ group activities both within the wards and in the wider community.
We are looking for individuals with who will enjoy the challenge that the role offers while demonstrating enthusiasm and commitment to improving patient experience and outcomes, staff wellbeing and building a culture of nursing excellence.
Applicants must have experience of or a genuine interest in working in Adult Mental Health and delivering a high standard of person centred care to patients and their families.
