Education Welfare Officer Location: N4 London
Part time 4 days a week. Term Time Only - School Based
Actual salary £24,000 per annum for term time working.

WPA are the leading Education Welfare Provider in the South East. We are looking for an ambitious, proactive and customer focused person who wants to work in partnership with schools and families, ensuring that children are able to access education and achieve their potential.
You will be able to communicate effectively at all levels to resolve issues affecting children's access to education, therefore, being purposeful in identifying and resolving problems and providing challenge where necessary. You will be confident about pursuing legal sanctions and acting as a witness in the event of proceedings.
Previous experience of working with children, young people and their families is required, preferably, but not exclusively, within an educational setting. You will need to be enthusiastic, committed to the values of education and be able to organise your work efficiently and effectively. We will provide full supervision and on-role training will be provided.
WPA is committed to safeguarding children and successful applicants will be required to apply for an Enhanced Criminal Record Check from the Disclosure and Barring Service. Driving licence and a use of a car is essential.

The role may involve carrying out school and home visits so candidates must have a valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle. The successful candidate must also be able to adapt to working in different environments and be able to work under pressure and to deadlines.
