We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with drive, knowledge and ambition to manage and encourage the growth of personal transport budgets and support the assessment of eligibility for home to school and college transport for children and young people resident in the East Riding of Yorkshire.
General Description
The successful candidate will work closely with families and several Directorates across the Council to implement our home to school and college transport policy. This will be in relation to personal transport budgets and more complex home to school and college transport eligibility decisions, including for children and young people with education health and care plans and families in exceptional circumstances.
The role of Education Transport Officer also contributes to developing and updating policies, protocols and practice, so a level of knowledge in relation to home to school and college transport is required. You will be working at a fast pace to ensure we can meet the needs of our families within agreed timescales, so you will need to be highly organised, be able to prioritise your workload and work well under pressure.
You will need excellent communication skills, experience of working with parents, carers and colleagues, proven experience of implementing change and supporting service users through change.
