- Providing unique educational and personal development opportunities
- Delivering experiences that promote education, personal wellbeing, and life skill development.
- Engaging with young people to help enhance their employment opportunities.
- Support and assist in the planning of a high-quality educational program focusing on the skills for the future from the inspirational space of Old Trafford Football Club.
- Lead the delivery of sessions to young people.
- To plan and deliver is to the best of standards (high quality).
- To ensure everything is done safely, fairly, effectively, and efficiently (strong governance).
- To capture the success and impact of your work (monitoring and evaluation).
- To be responsible to safeguard the welfare of children and adults at risk.
- Ability to work flexibly including weekends and evenings.
- To create a fun, enjoyable and inclusive learning environment that is inspiring, dynamic, challenging, and educational.
- To create and develop session/lesson plans that will increasingly challenge and enhance skills, shape a positive attitude, and foster a confident approach to meeting the objectives of each programme.
- To develop and maintain a positive relationship with schools.
- To actively promote the Education Programme and maintain a database of schools / teachers for marketing activities.
- To contact and maintain links with professionals, groups and organisations, along with colleagues at MUFC, in order to keep informed and communicate information.
- Identify and meet the needs of colleagues and our customers, focusing on initiating and welcoming contact and communication whilst striving to deliver first class customer service.
- Uphold and promote the Foundation’s Safeguarding policy in conjunction with both Manchester United FC’s Safeguarding team and the school’s safeguarding lead.
- Complete risk assessments to always ensure a safe and healthy working environment in accordance with Manchester United Foundation and Manchester United Football Club’s policies.
- Keep up to date with Government strategy and policies on education, changes to the National Curriculum and OFSTED.
Knowledge
- To want to make a positive difference to young people.
- Hard working, enthusiastic and reliable
- People Skills (Self-assured, build rapport, empathise with others, emotionally intelligent, approachable).
- Understanding of Safeguarding best practice
- Knowledge of implementing policies and procedures especially health and safety and risk assessments
- Knowledge of the National Curriculum and Ofsted Framework within schools
- Knowledge of the Premier League and FA Education Programmes (Desirable)
- Knowledge of the Tech Industry
Experience
- Experience working with children and young people, preferably within a school environment.
- Proven experience of delivering educational classroom-based programs.
- Proven ability of engaging with a range of stakeholders and external partners to achieve strategic and contractual objectives.
- Mentoring or pastoral experience within young people.
- Managing partnerships and programmes, demonstrating a passion for innovation, creativity and excellence
- Training and/or tutoring of teachers/coaches
- Inspirational role model who can create a positive learning culture.
- Ability to enthuse and communicate across a broad range of ages (Key Stage 1 to 4) to children in a positive learning environment.
- Confident and comfortable in delivery technology-based sessions
