The Education Manager is responsible for the daily functions of the Education team and all associated events regarding TFE trade relations in Napa Valley. This individual will lead strategic initiatives to expand the educational offerings to TFE Sales and Marketing, and also provide certification training to TFE employees.
Essential Functions:

- Train, manage, and lead Education team
- Lead trainings on TFE products and their respective growing regions to the Education team
- Account for all scheduled trade appointments and assign their Education host
- Manages and implements career planning, personal development, and annual performance reviews of staff
- Develop experiences for visiting trade groups at TFE Napa Valley properties
- Host on-site tours, tastings, lunches and dinners for key (VIP) trade groups
- Conduct tours of Trinchero facilities on foot and in company vehicles
- Responsible for correspondence with the TFE Sales team regarding trade visits to relay points of potential sale
- Conduct on-site seminars for key (VIP) trade groups (subjects range from wine/spirit production, History of Napa Valley, wine regions of Italy, etc.)
- Work closely with the sales team to provide general wine and TFE product education in the market
- Act as a TFE ambassador and representative at various trade and sales events
- Conduct trainings on TFE products and their respective growing regions to TFE employees and trade groups
- Assist in certification programming offered to TFE Employees (CSW, CSS, WSET in Wines Levels 1, 2, 3)
- Lead Review Sessions for those enrolled in TFE certification programs- with focus on the CSW and CSS exams
- Assist in the proctoring of WSET 3 exams
- Collaborate in the creation of education initiatives such as:
- TFE Education Webinars
- TFE Education Collateral
- Development and maintenance of the TFE on-line training /education system (LMS), Training videos, etc.
- Delivery of certification-prep review sessions and exams
- Development of TFE specific wine and spirits education seminars
- Development and updates of certification-prep program seminars to presentations
- Maintain relations with select universities’ hospitality programs
- Maintain inventory of TFE Wine Library
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management or related field
- Years of Experience: Three to Five plus years of hospitality or sales experience in wine, hospitality or related fields preferred
- Strong business acumen, well-rounded knowledge of the industry and recent trends
- Exceptional verbal and written communication, presentation, and conflict management skills
- Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Triple Seat, video editing)
- Teaching and/or training experience preferred
- Professional wine certification required (CSW, CWE, DipWSET, or CMS Level 2)
- Professional spirits certification preferred (CSS, WSET Level 3 in Spirits)
- Must be independent, self-motivated and organized
- Relaxed, friendly and professional demeanor
- Valid Driver’s License and good driving record
Working Conditions:
- Regular working schedule to include weekends and holidays
- Long and irregular hours during peak seasons and/or special events
- Moderate to heavy physical work (moving wine cases and setting up for special events)
- Work site may be any one of Trinchero Family Estates’ facilities
- Standing for long periods of time (8 hours per day)
- Ability to lift at least 45 pounds (case of wine)
- Occasional travel required
Required to drive company vehicles (including a nine-passenger vehicle)
Salary Range: $70,100.00 - $130,200.00
The starting pay will be based on several factors, including but not limited to experience, training, education, and geographic location.
