JOB TITLE - Education Manager
Medic Mentor are delighted to announce that we are opening applications for a full-time Education Manager. Applications will be considered on a ‘first-come-first-served basis’. MAIN PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE JOB
Medic Mentor works collaboratively with schools, careers advisor networks and universities throughout the UK to support students from all backgrounds, gain support and mentoring throughout their UCAS application process, with continued support throughout university, as students’ progress to medical, dentistry and veterinarian school.
We are looking for an organised, enthusiastic, friendly, and hardworking individual who enjoys liaising with education employees to allocate funding for careers development in the medical fields, specifically, Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Science.
The role includes occasional weekend working, with time off in lieu provided the following week
DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Building and developing strong, ongoing professional relationships with education staff across secondary schools, career adviser networks and universities.
· Using email, telephone, and social media to liaise with education staff
· Completing zoom meetings with teachers to discuss support and funding opportunities for individual schools
· Sending out regular email campaigns to update schools on success stories and important updates (experience is desirable, but training can be provided to the right applicant)
· Recording important and accurate information on CRM system
· Liaising closely with education staff, parents and students, via email, phone, social media and zoom meetings, recording interactions.
· Answering the phone and dealing with enquiries
· Participating in staff training and development (CPD)
· Working cooperatively as part of a close team
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Strong communicator with excellent relationship building skills, with strong demonstrable experience of developing and maintaining relationships with external education and careers personnel
Fluent with the use of email, namely Gmail, Excel Spreadsheets, Google sheets
Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to adapt to a diverse range of education providers
Ability to present written information in a structured and balanced way appropriate to the needs of the reader.
Ability to follow a template email but be able to customise it appropriately for the needs of the customer
Able to work proactively and effectively, planning workload to meet deadlines, but having the skills to work reactionary if required
EXPERIENCE
This role will suit applicants with proven experience in careers advice and guidance, liaising with education staff throughout all levels in schools and successful business development executives
Experience with accurate data entry and administration is essential
