The exciting role to join the team at the University of St Andrews as an Education Liaison Officer (Europe) has recently become available.
Working in a high energy environment with motivated and specialist colleagues who are focused on building long-term relationships to support student recruitment and admissions through external engagement and personalised communication, the successful post holder has responsibility for contributing to the achievement of the University’s priorities and targets for admissions.
The post holder will focus on student recruitment (both in-person and virtually) and conversion of students from the European Union, EEA, Switzerland and other European countries where necessary, to full-time undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at St Andrews with a particular initial focus on postgraduate recruitment. In addition the post holder will undertake admissions decision making, continuing to ensure that our decision making and recruitment are aligned and informed. This will involve helping coordinate on-campus, in-country and virtual engagement activities with prospective students, academic Schools, partner institutions and agents etc. The post holder will work with the Director of UK and Europe Admissions and the Regional Manager (Europe) and focus on conducting research and gathering data to help target recruitment and marketing activity as effectively as possible, working closely with relevant colleagues throughout the Admissions Unit to meet these objectives. There are opportunities to contribute to the development of existing key and emerging markets and to make recommendations for future activity.
This challenging post will attract applicants with a good Honours degree and proven experience as an excellent communicator, strong team player, ability to research and interpret data and identify trends. The post-holder will be required to undertake overseas travel and must bring with them the proven ability to build relationships and deliver memorable and compelling presentations on the University.
