The Education Support Service is looking to appoint a highly motivated Education Family Support Worker to contribute to the strategic development of the assessment and intervention centre. Noddfa has two distinct provisions, one is an assessment and intervention centre for 0-25 years offering multi-agency and outreach support across Wrexham County Borough Council and the other provides 3 dedicated classrooms for pupils with Autism and Social Communication Difficulties in KS1 and KS2.
The successful candidate will deliver bespoke packages of support to families (parents, carers, children and young people) to promote positive parenting and to help them support their children in accessing education in line with departmental and national legislation, guidance and policy.
The successful candidate will be expected to deliver evidence based approaches to families to promote strong positive relationships, healthy lifestyles, good routines, independence and safe, positive parenting.
The successful candidate will show empathy and patience as they will be working with children and young people who have ALN, in particular social, emotional and behavioural needs.
They will be enthusiastic about being part of a nurturing team and passionate about working with families and schools in order to improve outcomes.
An enhanced DBS is required for this position.
