The Role:
Proton is looking for a Customer Marketing & Education Specialist to join our fast-growing SaaS team! Reporting to our Head of Marketing, you'll play a pivotal role in guiding the customer journey beyond the purchase point. Your mission? Empower our customers to master our product independently by providing engaging, instructional content – think videos, guides, live webinars. Ideal candidates relish being in front of the camera, adeptly produce video content, and have a knack for crafting scripts that captivate our customers.
The target salary range for this role is $100,000- $115,000 salary. Final offers will be based on your skills and previous experience.
This role will be based in Boston with a hybrid schedule (3 days in office, office located in Kendall Square).
What you'll do:
- Become an expert on our product, its features, and the benefits it provides to our customers
- Develop a thorough understanding of our customers, their business operations, and the distinct personas who regularly use our product
- Create and maintain a range of engaging, interactive training content such as videos, in-app tutorials, webinars, emails, and course modules that support our customers' independent success
- Build and maintain Proton's Help Center
- Host Proton's live Office Hours and Training Sessions, providing an interactive learning opportunity for new users of our web and mobile apps
- Work closely with our Product team to understand upcoming feature releases. Lead the strategy and roll-out of these new features, transform product updates into engaging blog posts and newsletters
- Collaborate with our Customer Success team to prioritize education content, aiming to reduce the volume of customer support tickets and bolster product adoption
- Interview experienced users to understand their workflows, using these insights to inform our content creation
- Gauge the effectiveness of various customer marketing initiatives through assessments, surveys, feedback, and defined success metrics
You'll be a great fit for this role if you are:
- An excellent communicator with superior presentation skills
- Skilled at creating engaging content through compelling copywriting and scriptwriting
- Some experience using video editing software like Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.
- Curious and committed to understanding the core 'why' behind any situation
- Process-oriented and data-driven, with a track record of scaling content or education initiatives based on results and data
- Customer-focused with a strong sense of empathy
- Self-reliant and result-oriented, taking ownership of your work and its outcomes
