We are currently seeking a talented and enthusiastic Assistant Editor to join our editorial team. We are an established and successful publishing and events company which writes, designs, edits and publishes 11 publications and hosts several international events across a range of industries. Our brands include a mix of B2B and consumer publications and events, hosted and circulated across international and national platforms, all of which are produced in-house, further highlighting the diverse reach of the company.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the editorial output of some of the company’s leading B2B magazines. This will include planning and writing unique features, interviewing industry leaders and arranging commentary with market experts. In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring relevant and optimised news is written and published online to reach the maximum possible audience and shared on our social media platforms.
The successful candidate will be required to work closely with the publication’s Project Manager and Marketing team, to ensure that all advertising content is supplied on time to the Design team. Therefore, the candidate must be organised, driven and thrive in a high-pressured media environment.
The role is varied, and we are looking for an experienced Editor to join the growing team.
Requirements
- Write in-depth editorial about specific industry verticals
- Manage time and regularly hit deadlines
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Create and maintain strong editorial relationships with clients and relevant association relationships
- Organise and plan content for magazines via email, phone, at events and in-person
- Maintain online news and social media accounts with the help of the Assistant Editor
- Be the face of the magazine brand and represent the company professionally in the industry
- Thrive in high pressure environment
- Be able to work as a team, but also to work autonomously
