The Associate Editor is a crucial member of the Exiger Diligence team. As part of the Quality Assurance function, Associate Editors review written reports and provide editorial feedback to researchers to ensure clarity of writing, consistency of style, and effectiveness of written communication to our clients. Associate Editors work as a team to ensure that daily deadlines are met and act as resources to the office. The Associate Editor will be trained in our research and writing processes and style, and will apply their own editorial experience and best practices to the work of our researchers.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit reports to ensure a clear, concise, and thorough product for clients
- Complete editing of cases of all levels of complexity
- Manage multiple cases with overlapping deadlines simultaneously
- Commitment to integrity and thoroughness of research, writing, and editing
- Commitment to teamwork and innovation in working toward high quality on short deadlines
- Provide specific, concrete, and timely feedback on reports from our global offices to ensure consistency in style and clarity of writing
- Develop mastery of all report templates and styles for various industries, clients, and product types
- Understand the research and content review process
- Work with research- and editing- specific tools
- Assist with training of other Associate Editors, Research Associates, and Interns

- Experience with editing various types and styles of written work
- Proficiency in working with Microsoft Office software such as Word
- Experience in teaching/tutoring preferred
- Experience in the due diligence industry a plus
- Understanding of current events, international affairs, financial regulations, economics and/or finance
Professional Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred
- 2–5 years of relevant work experience
- Professional fluency/proficiency in English and a foreign language is a plus
