Job description
- Arranging peer-review and commissioning content to ensure the successful and timely publication of high-quality translational research
- Keeping up-to-date with the published literature and research news to identify content, authors and peer-reviewers for our journal
- Attending conferences and academic meetings, along with site visits to develop and maintain links with the international translational research community
- Writing editorials, commissioning reviews and commentaries and publishing correspondence to build the journal’s profile among the communities we serve
- Subediting material from all sections of our journal to improve clarity of expression and to conform to journal style
- Suggesting and helping to develop new initiatives for future developments and enhancements to our journal
- Have a Medical Degree or PhD in a related subject field with postdoctoral research experience
- Demonstrate broad knowledge of biological and medical sciences
- Have an exceptional command of the English language and the ability to write in an engaging manner
- Be able to communicate and negotiate constructively with members of the translational research community, the media and colleagues
- Have proficiency with MS Office
- Be able to travel to internationally for meetings and conferences
