What we’re looking for:
As the proud parents of multiple award-winning publications, we are seeking a dynamic and talented Managing Editor to oversee the production and publication of quarterly magazine focusing on tech and sustainability and STEM. As the Managing Editor, you will be responsible for planning and executing 4 issues of the magazine per year, as well as frequent online content that may accompany it. You will also be responsible for managing the website, ensuring that it is always updated with fresh and engaging content and some work on newsletter and social.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute 4 issues per year, as well as any supplemental content that may accompany it.
- Manage the Imagazine website, ensuring it is always updated with fresh and engaging content.
- Gather and manage a team of freelancers and contributors.
- Establish yearly and quarterly budgets
- Assist in the promotion of each magazine, ensuring it gets in front of as many eyes as possible.
- Meet assigned deadlines.
- Assist with other publications at IPW as needed.
- Represent IPW and Innovation & Tech Today at events.
- Manage or assist in all content pertaining to, including video, podcasts, or written content and celebrity outreach and managing PR firms.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in magazine or digital content production, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Strong writing and editing skills.
- Familiarity with content management systems and website analytics.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- A passion for technology, innovation, and the latest trends in the industry.
