Key Role Aspects:
- Create & drive the content strategy for EA Sports FC, eFootball, Football Manager and other franchises in combination with Sports Group Manager and Content Strategist
- Thinking ahead and meticulously planning, editing & updating all content related to the football genre on the site
- Lead the execution of content strategy across football titles and grow traffic in line with site KPIs
- Organise and track content via ClickUp (our project management system)
- Develop & nurture PR contacts to guarantee critical access to games & information
- Manage the output & workload of a dedicated football writer & through GDM’s Write For Us model (a network of freelancer experts on various topics)
- Commission & edit content as needed and within budget
- Assist content creation in other areas where necessary
Your skills and focus areas:
- Fast, decisive, and able to make key decisions quickly. Momentum is key
- Give and receive constructive feedback - ask for feedback and work with team members
- Collaboration and communication - able to work with other team members, listen to feedback, and communicate changes/needs clearly and concisely
- Staying one step ahead of the curve - awareness of industry trends and what ‘the next thing is’ before/as it happens. Citing these to the team
- Identify ‘problems’ before they happen - forward planning (months in advance) is essential in liaison with the Sports Group Manager
- Show organisation and ability to handle multiple work streams at once - keeping a holistic view
Hours: 9:30 am - 5:30 pm Monday-Friday (Flexibility required to cover 6 pm embargos)
Salary: £27,000 - £32,000. Depending on experience
