What You Will Do
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Write blog posts and marketing copy to promote our products and services
- Proofread, re-structure and edit articles by content writers editing spelling, grammar, and syntax
- Update our website and social media pages with new content
- Ensure that content meets the company’s needs, and follows our in-house style guide
- Use online sources to research topics, verifying content and information
- Improve illustration in collaboration with marketing and design teams
- Optimize published pieces, generate new ideas around industry-related topics and monitor web traffic and user engagement
- Manage the website and ensure timely publication; organizing, modify and updating existing content
- Ensure all digital assets reflect Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and lead generation best practice
- Engage and participate in our team meetings
- Coordinate team members and contractors to ensure tasks are done on time
- Monitor daily activities and provide monthly reports to measure the result of both internal and external communications
- Performs other duties as assigned
What Skills You Have
- Enrolment in Journalism, Marketing, Communication, or other related programs at the junior or intermediate (preferred) level with a co-op option.
- Strong Management and Organizational skills.
- An eye for detail and copy consistency
- Strong proofreading skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Strong ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Experience with using Adobe suite is an asset
- Bilingualism is an added asset.
- English/French and English/ Chinese are preferred.
Contract length: 4 months
Part-time hours: 20 hours per week (Minimum); 3 days per week (Minimum)
