Job description

Role and Responsibilities


Position Profile:

  • Be a part of the Civil Proposals team responsible for the coordination, execution, management, and delivery of winning proposals
  • Edit and format proposal material for consistency of message and tone in the overall package of the deliverables:
    • Text improvement (grammar, flow, readability, accuracy, consistency, clarity)
    • Compliance with the Proposal Style Guide and departmental standards
  • Act as the gatekeeper of all documentation prepared by the proposals team and maintain version control at each iteration
  • Publish documents using Adobe Acrobat
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of product specifications as well as relevant documents required for a given proposal
  • Coordinate printing, packaging, and shipping activities for proposal deliverables, when necessary
  • Maintain alignment with corporate branding guidelines
  • Support growth and improvement initiatives, as required

Qualifications:

  • University degree (English Literature, Journalism, Translation or equivalent) with a minimum of five years’ experience in relevant editorial capacity
  • Previous experience working within a Proposal environment is an asset
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills in English
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • A strong sense of document layout and design, as well as configuration control and file management
  • Experience working with templates and macros in MS Word
  • Working knowledge of MS SharePoint
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize with minimal supervision in a fast-paced and evolving environment
  • Results-driven, customer-focused, innovative, creative, and detail-oriented
  • Proficient in MS Office suite and Adobe Acrobat
  • Bilingualism in both French and English is required
  • Member of Editors Canada is an asset
