About The Role

Working Hours: 35 per week

Contract Type: Full time, Permanent (job share and compressed hours can also be considered)

This role is subject to -

DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance - this post is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (amended in 2013). Performance Research and Intelligence (PRI) forms part of Policy, Performance and Reform within the Chief Executive's Directorate.
This is part of the Council's back-office support function which provides data and analytics for all the other council directorates. The work we do makes sense of data through research and analytics to improve the decision making of the council to help our communities and our city grow.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of the Performance, Research and Intelligence team. The successful candidate will work with a Senior Data Analyst to dig into our data, interpret the findings and and make it useable for others including council directorates, elected members and the general public.

The role will involve working with large and complex data sets, cleansing, querying and interpreting the data.

About the Candidate

We are looking for a someone who has tenacity, loves working with figures and has an eye for detail.

We are looking for a self-motivated individual who will contribute to the improvement of our data cleansing and processing, as well as supporting the other team members with their day-to-day work.
You will have excellent administrative and organisational skills and be able prioritise your work to get results within expected timescales.
You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to be able to explain your work to others
You will be encouraged to share your knowledge and learn every day.

ICT skills are essential. You will have experience of working with large and complex data sets, problem solving and making sound decisions based on logic.
