This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to work for an industry leader, providing specialist furniture subcontracts in Healthcare, Education, Student Accommodation and Laboratory sectors.
Deanestor are looking for an experienced Edgebander operator to join a growing team. You must have the ability to work with great attention and accuracy to detail, be responsible and comply with all safety guidelines.

The objective is to ensure that production processes deliver products of the highest quality and in a timely profitable manner.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and operate single sided & double sided edgebander machines to perform tasks
- Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by understanding cut lists, edging requirements etc.
- Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function
- Prepare and load raw materials through the machines
- Prepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications
- Set machines to complete full cycles to manufacture large ‘batch’ number of components
- Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly
- Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure performance & functionality
Requirements
- Proven experience in furniture manufacturing would be beneficial but not essential
- Previous use and knowledge of edgebanding machines with the understanding of programming is beneficial but not essential (Biesse Stream BD2 8.5, Homag KAL 210 Ambitions 2270)
- Understanding of manufacturing drawings
- Self-motivated and able to work under pressure
- Problem-solving skills
- Proactive team player
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £12.00-£13.00 per hour
