The purpose of the role
Supporting Crosscountry’s strategy of ‘Being an employer of choice: Respect, encourage and develop a diverse workforce, support its wellbeing and actively consider and address the challenges of the future labour market’.
The successful candidate will review the business’s current practices, and work alongside stakeholders to create the foundation of a diverse and inclusive workplace. This role will require a level of influence and project management to successfully launch key initiatives and ultimately bring about positive long-term change.
Principle Responsibilities: (These are not exhaustive)
- Audit CrossCountry’s current policies, procedures, and practices to identify areas of improvement from an EDI perspective.
- Be the ambassador of EDI, influencing all levels of the workforce to prioritise inclusive practises within their day-to-day work.
- Lead strategic EDI projects by inputting into key organisational processes, such as induction, talent acquisition (including Early Careers), talent development and talent management through an EDI lens.
- Work with the recognised Trade Unions through the Joint National Committee’s (JNC) to embed inclusive employment practises.
- Create the blueprint for the EDI and Wellbeing calendar – identifying key dates of education & celebration, collaborating with external partners on local campaigns.
Experience, Knowledge, Qualifications & Training
The Essentials:
- Experience in the design, delivery, and project management of EDI and/or wellbeing initiatives.
- Experience with influencing senior managers to create positive change.
- Experience in data analysis including using data and data analytics to develop and implement solutions.
- Ability to draw on the experience, knowledge, and skills of others to diagnose, design and implement solutions to EDI challenges across the organisation.
- Excellent and confident communicator, with experience of event management and facilitation.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team with pace.
Desirable:
- Experience of working in a challenging employee relations environment – with either trade unions or other employee stakeholder groups.
- CIPD qualified or equivalent HR experience.
