  • Two or more years of experience in the AV sector with a proven record of effectively commissioning, configuring, troubleshooting or installing corporate AV systems
  • Two or more years’ experience supporting operating systems (Windows, Macintosh or Linux)
  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving and diagnosis skills with a strong understanding of signal flow
  • Excellent customer facing skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, both oral and written
  • English language skills
  • Strong prioritization and organizational skills with attention to detail

The Executive Briefing Centre (EBC) Event Support Engineer will be responsible for providing professional, effective and knowledgeable support to all EBC customers utilizing AV/VC systems in Amazon. They will also provide and support basic AV equipment and services when required.

They will work closely with other internal teams, contractors and integrators to troubleshoot issues with these systems. They will have an understanding of the broad variety of AV standards deployed at Amazon and be capable of resolving straightforward issues. They will have the communication skills to guide both peers and non-technical customers in rapidly implementing workarounds to unblock events.

The successful candidate will have experience in AV, video conferencing, IT software/ hardware and networking disciplines in a fast-paced corporate environment. They will be committed, flexible and have demonstrated the ability to maintain high levels of productivity while working independently with minimal supervision. They will demonstrate strong initiative and genuine curiosity.

Key job responsibilities
  • On-site set up/troubleshooting of AV systems, particularly complex integrated systems such as large conference rooms, training rooms, executive rooms and bespoke or legacy systems
  • Working with internal teams, contractors and integrators through troubleshooting and repair procedures
  • Provide high level customers with assistance on set up and support with using meeting room technology
  • Working closely with partner teams to drive continuous improvement of the customer experience
  • Maintaining communication with customers and stakeholders through ticket documentation
  • Collaborating on technical documentation and SOPs, incorporating field learning and customer feedback
  • Responsible for resolving/escalating technical issues in EBC rooms
  • Ensure AV room functionality in conjunction with building operations team
  • Ability to move equipment between storage and event rooms
  • Occasional out of hours work may be required

  • Avixa CTS, CTS-I or CTS-D or equivalent
  • Certifications of training by AV manufacturers (Cisco, Biamp, Dante)
  • Experience with network technology including video and audio over IP
  • Experience with Cisco systems or Cisco certification
