JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for Early Morning Cleaners to join our Domestic Services team at Kent College, Canterbury. As vital members of the support team, the successful applicants will ensure the delivery of a high standard cleaning service across the school.

An Early Morning Cleaner at Kent College will be aware of and understand Health and Safety, as well as COSHH and any other legislative requirements. They will have a good working knowledge of the English language, with the ability to work well in a team and independently.

Being able to drive will be an advantage due to commuting early in the morning, and moving between our Senior and Junior School sites.

Kent College is a co-educational school with a Methodist foundation. The school is located in Canterbury, just one hour from the center of London by train. The Senior School (11 – 18 years) has some 600 boys and girls, approximately one-third boarding and two-thirds day. The school was graded as excellent in all categories in the recent inspection conducted by ISI in October 2022, the Independent Schools Inspectorate that conducts inspections on behalf of the Secretary of State for Education.

THE POSITION

The position is 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday 5am to 8am, full year.
