Would you like to help prevent people from becoming homeless in Peterborough?
We have a new opportunity to join the Housing Needs team at Peterborough City Council as an Early Help Assistant. The role will be based within our new homelessness Early Help Hub, and you will work with officers to support them in preventing homelessness. Taking a proactive and collaborative approach you will be confident in speaking to those requiring homelessness assistance as well as partner agencies.
You will have experience of working in a busy team and have effective organisational skills.
The role will bring you into contact with customers with a range of needs. The successful applicant will be required to work closely with support services and other members of the housing needs team. Therefore, you must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work under pressure and a willingness to assist those who need your help.
Fixed term till 31.03.2025
