Your Role
As an Early Careers Assistant, you’ll be part of a busy Early Careers support team who are required to deliver a seamless end-to-end support function for all apprentices, trainee CILEX Lawyers and trainee solicitors in the business, from recruitment to qualification. It is a diverse and interesting role in a friendly and experienced team.
What You'll Be Doing
- Booking and co-ordinating events such as law fairs, presentations, assessment centres, inductions, legal work placements and development in line with the cyclical nature of the early careers programmes.
- Building relationships with external stakeholders including training providers and education establishments to raise the profile of early careers opportunities at Irwin Mitchell.
- Screening of applications and video interviews for the various early careers programmes.
- First point of contact for external and internal queries via phone and the teams shared inbox. Providing an excellent candidate experience by ensuring queries are actioned efficiently.
- Scheduling meetings and training sessions.
- Managing the payment of invoices.
- Attending events supporting our social media strategy to engage with potential candidates and promote Irwin Mitchell’s early careers opportunities.
- Maintaining a relationship with our future trainees by organising events to ensure they are engaged with before they start.
- Providing administrative support to the wider Early Careers team
- Producing regular management information and other statistical information.
What We're Looking For
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Demonstrative experience of handling and managing multiple projects and tasks to deadlines.
- Flexibility and responsiveness to changing demands and priorities.
- Ability to work independently and on own initiative.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Robust administrative skills; able to work quickly and independently and to a high standard.
- Willingness to undertake travel throughout the UK.
- Ideally, you’ll have a working knowledge and understanding of the early careers pathways and experience of supporting with volume recruitment.
