Our client is a large UK law firm who are looking for a confident and proactive Early Careers Advisor to join their growing and busy team in their London offices on a permanent basis.
The Early Careers Advisor will be responsible for apprentices, interns, work experience & outreach by supporting and leading the employee life cycle processes from attraction, recruitment, performance management, development and transitioning to senior roles.
Duties will include:
- Managing the Early Careers processes across each entry channel into the key areas of the business (fee-earning, legal operations and business operations) while also contributing to the Early Careers budget and working with the EC Manager to design, review and implement the expansion of programmes.
- Designing recruitment materials and media (website, publications, advertising, social and media tracking) while maintaining relationships with external organisations and supporting their attraction programme.
- Overseeing the annual end-to-end recruitment process across all entry channels – running assessment days and other recruitment events, collating feedback, and reflecting on recruitment processes.
- Being responsible for the day-to-day running of the induction programmes for apprentices and interns.
- Being responsible for development with a clear support structure for Early Careers Apprentices and Graduates and overseeing payment of educational fees and maintaining grants.
- Maintaining up-to-date Employment law knowledge and updating the team's knowledge.
- Responsible for developing outreach programmes with schools and partners and liaising with the Firm's Committees – Race Equity, Social Mobility, Gender, LGBTQ+, Disability.
The Early Careers Advisor will have experience of working in a People team and supporting employee relations issues. Along with experience developing and managing apprenticeship programmes, outreach/work experience programmes and D&I initiatives. It is essential to be able to prioritise and manage projects and initiatives independently, solve problems quickly and creatively and have excellent organisational and attention to detail skills. The right candidate will be able to communicate effectively, build relationships with partners/ key stakeholders, be adaptable personable.
