We’re looking for someone like you to help us deliver a challenging program of work, building out our strategic FX Cash & Derivatives pricing, distribution and algorithmic trading architecture.
As a Quant-Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Quant-Engineering: development of tooling and key platform components for the core Principal Flow Electronic Trading system.
- Trading Analytics: expand and migrate existing data analytics applications to our strategic cloud-based trading analytics platform.
- Work as part of the Investment Banking Principal Flow Trading front office development team.
- Work with wider quant-development and quant groups to ensure robustness of the technology and models underlying the business.
- Act as an escalation point for support of principal flow electronic trading core platform components, backend and frontend applications.

You will be working in the Quant-Engineering Centre of Excellent aligned to Principal Flow Trading in London. The work has a very high profile and is recognized as a key part of our business strategy over the next few years.

Your expertise
- Hold a bachelor or master degree or equivalent in software engineering, computer science or similar disciplines that provide a solid background in design and implementation of large scale compute platforms.
- Five years of exceptional Java, Python and Linux experience.
- Five years of strong scripting skills to automate common tasks (Python, bash, go).
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting mission-critical components in a large-scale production environment.
- Ideally experience with data platforms involving hybrid on-prem and cloud deployments.
- Familiar with container technologies (docker, k8s) would be a plus.
- Experience with KDB at infrastructure level would be a plus.
- Proactive with initiatives and have an innovative solution-oriented thinking.
