Job Title Ecommerce Manager Starting date ASAP

Commercial acumen is a plus, and someone that doesn’t fear accountability and can thrive under pressure when needed. We are looking for someone who is both strategically minded to support the Head of eCommerce, but also someone who can hit the ground running and get stuck in.
Key Responsibilities:
Ecommerce Strategy Development: Support the Head of Ecommerce and the contracted Digital Marketing Strategist to craft and enforce the Ecommerce strategy for the business, focusing on enhancing online sales, driving quality website traffic, and the overall customer journey including CVR, AOV and LTV.
Platform Management: Direct daily performance on our DTC/B2B Shopify Plus site, introduce workflows and manage integrations with platforms such as CedCommerce for Amazon & eBay, Amazon FBM / FBA, and other marketplaces.
Traffic Enhancement: Leverage tools, strategies and relationships with internal and external stakeholders covering Social, PPC, and SEO to attract potential customers.
Merchandising: Lead the product merchandising efforts, ensuring effective product presentation on the site to drive sales and reach trading benchmarks. Identify and onboard a new on-site search tool that will automate the manual work involved in product ranking.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Sync with operations to align stock with sales and unite with buying and product design teams for streamlined product launches.
Online Marketing Strategy: Conceptualise, review, and sustain an evolving online marketing approach, with a focus on Value-Based Selling, on-brand content, and an obsession with iterative improvement.
User Experience: Regularly optimise the online user journey, aiming for reduced friction and improved conversion paths.
Trend & Competitor Monitoring: Remain updated on the latest in ecommerce and Shopify trends, advocating best practices as appropriate.
Reporting: Be responsible for the monitoring and upkeep of KPIs across the website and providing a consistent and detailed narrative to stakeholders.
Team Development: Nurture and mentor team members, fostering an environment of continuous learning and working toward eventually scaling and building out the team.
Essential Requirements:
- 4+ years of hands-on, demonstratable experience with Shopify/Shopify Plus a bonus.
- Prior role in a retail vertical, preferably in high AOV, electronic equipment/appliances or a related field.
- Demonstrable skill in ecommerce management.
- Proficient with online analytics tools, specifically Google Analytics and GA4.
- Analytical mindset with proven ability to drive growth.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with a knack for a test-and-learn & fail-fast methodology.
- Rooted experience from an SME backdrop.
- Effective communicator with a collaborative mindset.
- Experience working with a team on Promotional campaigns
Desirable Skills:
- Accreditation or in-depth training in Shopify Plus.
- Familiarity with diverse ecommerce platforms and their integrations.
- Comprehensive grasp of SEO, PPC and Social best practices in conjunction with an eCommerce proposition.
- Familiar briefing in projects to external partners tasked with improving ROI and driving channel diversification.
