We currently have a vacancy with our Leeds Team for an Enforcement Officer, you will play a crucial part in detecting and actioning any untaxed vehicles on behalf of the DVLA within the North and surrounding areas.
Your day starts with a briefing from your manager and making sure you`ve got everything you need for the day for your patrol location. You will be driving one of our specialist ANPR vehicles which will detect and locate untaxed vehicles on the public highway. You will then be responsible for making sure any vehicles identified by the ANPR system are reviewed and that accurate Enforcement action is taken against the offending vehicle in line with our Business Process.
You will also be in regular contact with members of the public and this is an important part of the role, sometimes in difficult circumstances, so you must be a great communicator.
What you will be doing
Taking appropriate enforcement action on vehicles that are showing no Vehicle Excise Duty (VED)
Advise the members of the public on payment methods and other issues regarding enforcement action taken against them.
Patrolling a large area in a ANPR vehicle on a planned beat or intelligence targeted.
Working with other Government agencies, when required including, Police, DVLA and Local Councils and DVSA.
Attends a daily briefing and collects all information and reports relevant to the day’s work.
Ensures all vehicles and enforcement equipment is serviceable and fit for purpose reports all faults to the Pound Manager.
All relevant stationery and enforcement stock are accounted for and in your van before deployment.
Completes daily reports of Enforcement regarding activities, clamp loads and equipment issues.
Using a Handheld Computer to enter in detail.
What you will need
Must be flexible in their attitude to working hours, locations and must be prepared to take on other roles, temporarily, as required by the operation.
Be punctual and presentable and show high levels of personal integrity and honesty.
Full UK manual driving licence.
Computer literate.
Ability to communicate with the public often in any situation.
Ability to compile simple reports.
Good customer service skills.
