Support on a day to day basis of the Security Service Trust Wide. Provide a security service that will protect, advise, investigate and act in an endeavor to create and maintain a safe and crime-free environment 24 hours a day, 365 days per annum Ensure that the needs of all persons interacting with the organization are catered for in a manner that supports the Trust values and reflect to the credit of the Trust and the Security Service.
This will include extending courteous hospitality and assistance to all visitors coming under the auspices of the Trust and its partners. The Trust’s security team work to achieve the safety of all staff, patients and visitors and to prevent and deter any criminal activity.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing specialist security advice, guidance and support to staff at all levels of the organisation NHS Trust. The Security Department is currently based across three sites Charing Cross Hospital, St Mary’s Hospital and Hammersmith Hospital with the Western Eye Hospital located as part of the St Mary’s site, therefore you will be required to work across all 3 main sites leading, motivating and managing a team of staff.
Undertake and follow up any investigations relating to crime, serious and other untoward incidents. Actively take every opportunity to promote a positive awareness amongst all who interact with the Trust relating to the duties, responsibilities and services performed or provided by, the Trust Security Service.
Actively promote a positive awareness amongst senior management and staff of the security service role in addressing the issues of crime, security and safety issues.
In the absence of a Senior Security Officer, assist the Security Management in the day to day administration of staff duty rotas to ensure minimum staffing levels are maintained. On request attend Court, Criminal or Civil, and Employment Tribunal to give evidence of any matter within your knowledge.
On request attend any Trust internal hearings, client partner, other NHS Trusts, or any hearing held by an organisation providing contractual services directly or indirectly to the Trust and to give evidence to any matter within your knowledge. On request, to cooperate with any investigation either internal or external as directed to give evidence of any matter within your knowledge.
Provide a support service to staff who have been the victims of crime, ensuring that they are informed of any developments in the ensuing investigation whether conducted internally or by the Police and/or other law enforcement agencies.
