We have a fantastic opportunity for an talented and passionate Duty Manager to join us as part of the management team at our dual concept venue Golf Fang and Birdies Bar, located in the Custard Factory, Digbeth, Birmingham

Let’s get to the details shall we?

As an exceptional Duty Manager, it will be your role to support the General Manager and Assistant General Manager with recruiting, training, and developing a strong customer focused team across bars and front of house departments, working with other duty managers to ensure high standards of service and guest experience and compliance with licensing, hygiene and health and safety. In your role you will lead on the consistent delivery of brand standards and quality across both Golf Fang and Birdies and take responsibility for areas including team recruitment & training, guest experience and maintaining high standards of maintenance and cleanliness. You must have strong Duty Manager experience as you will lead shifts and be confident in venue management and cash handling.

Essential criteria

  • At least 6 months managers experience at a similar level.
  • Experience in a multi-site unit, running shifts within a busy and hi volume operation
  • Previous experience in recruitment, training and developing teams
  • Innovative and creative ideas for cocktail menu development and guest experience

Desired criteria

  • Food safety and hygiene qualifications.
  • England & Wales Personal License.

Your role will include:

  • Working in collaboration with other Duty Managers on delivering the business targets.
  • Working with the Bar Managers and Front of House managers on unique and innovative cocktail menu development, and guest service, budgeting, and team training to give the venue unique twists.
  • Accountable for effective recruitment, planning and selection events for your venue, ensuring a high-quality onboarding, induction, and ongoing development experience.
  • The timely completion of end of probation reviews and ongoing development reviews for the people assigned to you and the senior roles in your venue.
  • Accurate upkeep and development of the section files and weekly jobs, rotas and cleanliness of the venue, escalating issues to the General Manager when required.

Experience:

  • bar/hospitality supervisory/management: 1 year (preferred)
