The business has grown to be one of the most successful independent cinema operations in the country, with cinemas in Cleethorpes, Louth, Barnsley, Beverley and Workington, Cumbria opening in 2023.
Job Purpose
You will manage the day-to-day operations of the entire cinema complex. This includes leading the operations team and making decisions on operation direction as required. Dealing with staff and ensuring their compliance to cinema policy and standards. Using your own initiative to deal with any and all operational issues and discipline of staff as required.
You will act as the representative of the Cinema in contact with all guests and, as such, are the first point of contact in dealing with customers. You’ll thrive in a fast paced environment and genuinely enjoy dealing directly with customers to solve any issues and improve their experience.
The Duty Manager represents Parkway, and it is critical that you ensure that all service delivery requirements are in place, fully understood and met every time.
Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
· Responsible for all cash on site and ensuring its security
· Following all procedures of cash control and creation of all necessary reports as required
· Ensuring full duty management handover completed at beginning and end of every shift
· Delegating tasks to staff members as and when required
· Ensuring all stock levels are adequate to expected levels of business at all times
· Ensuring cleanliness standards are enforced within cinema at all times
· Deals with any customer’s questions and complaints in effective manner.
· Ensure excellent picture and sound presentation
· Ensure overall quality, cleanliness and image of the site is perfect.
· Follows all procedures to ensure a safe work environment, as well as the safety of the guests.
· In case of evacuation be the responsible person on site to ensure staff and guest safety
· Manage complimentary tickets, vouchers and invitations
· Manages complaints process
· Prepares General Staff work schedule
· Evaluates General Staff performance
· Manages canceled show situations
· Maintain attendance for all scheduled shifts.
· Assist with other staff functions and perform other duties as directed.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £24,000.00 per year
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Workington: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Education:
- A-Level or equivalent (preferred)
