Drivers Mate / Warehouse Porter Job Description

To be successful in this role, you will be a highly self-motivated individual. You must have excellent communication skills and customer service skills. You must be able to work in a high-volume, fast-moving company being able to count, load and off load vehicles and complete paperwork. You will need to be fit and strong as this role involves a lot of manual handling.

Responsibilities for Drivers Mate / Warehouse Porter

· Checking & ensuring quality of work is to company standard.

· To assist in picking and checking orders against load lists prior to dispatch, loading and unloading vehicles.

· Always contribute to/assist in the smooth & safe operation of the warehouse when asked.

· To ensure all goods are checked with the driver prior to transportation and on return. Followed by ensuring all furniture and equipment is stored in a safe and correct manor in line with regulatory requirements.

· Assisting the driver in loading and off loading the vehicle at customer premises.

· Excellent customer service skills.

· Trustworthy and reliable.

· Confident communicator with all levels of staff.

· Ensure all aspects of Health & Safety are adhered to.

Drivers Mate / Warehouse Porter

Requirements:

· Self-motivated and have a dedicated and positive approach.

· Physically fit and able to carry heavy loads.

· A commitment to excellent customer service.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language.

· Good sense of organisation and keen attention to detail.

· Willingness to interact daily with customers from a wide range of cultures and backgrounds.

· Ability to work under pressure and perform well in a fast-paced working environment.

· Ability to cooperate with and support other members of the team.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Temporary contract

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
• Weekend availability
