Drivers Mate/ Drivers Buddy
Kent Potato Supplies is a family run business with over twenty years experience in supplying potatoes to food outlets - restaurants, takeaway food shops, farm shops, pubs, and care homes etc throughout Kent.
The successful candidate will be an honest, self motivated, hard working individual and will be assisting the main vehicle driver on deliveries and routes - delivering around 6 to10 Tonnes of potatoes per day - helping to load and unload the vehicle - you will also be required to demonstrate excellent customer service at all times.
This is a very physical role so you must be able to perform manual handling as the job involves a lot of heavy lifting.
The hours of work are Monday to Friday 6:00am until finish, Job & knock hours, when you're done, you're done + Occasional Saturdays due to Covering Bank Holidays.
Duties include:
-Assisting Driver to Deliver sack of potatoes to a variety shops, restaurants etc
-Following delivery notes, loading and unloading the vehicle.
-Keeping the vehicle clean & presentable as well as storage areas clean & tidy
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Dependant on experience - would also consider putting through to HGV level for the successful candidate
Free on-site parking - Preferably able to drive, car/motorcycle for transport to and from work due to the yard being in a rural area.
