This is a driver assistant roll you will enjoy meeting people – and delivering a service that makes their customers’ lives easier. Whilst you’re caring for our customers, we’ll be caring for you. We’ll give you supportive, flexible managers, who understand your role, and what you need from them, as well as great tech and equipment. Your shifts will be any 5 from 7. – From the training we give, to the fact that during the pandemic we’ve kept our driving teams together. The role

To assist both the loading team and the driver by loading the vehicle, where necessary and assist the driver with the unloading of goods at each delivery point and checking off products against relevant invoices. To ensure that paperwork is correct before leaving the depot after being briefed. To ensure the security of the delivery point. On completion of the delivery, to assist the driver with putting empty cages and pallets back onto the lorry, making sure that the load is secure. To assist the driver in removing the empty pallets and cages from the lorry along with any damaged or additional items which must be either returned to the correct warehouse chamber or put in the returns cage To adhere at all times to the pallet control procedures including pallets left with customers. To be aware of and comply with all requirements of the Health and Safety policy and procedure including wearing Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E).

What you’ll need

You’ll be efficient and organised, you need to enjoy the challenge of helping our driver unload a lorry full of goods and getting it to the right people at the right time. Personality is key. You’ll interact with the customers at every drop off – so you’ll need to enjoy meeting them, and doing all you can to make their life easier. Plus, you need to able to move cages and pallets that can be heavy.
