Restore Records Management have a new and exciting opportunity a Van Driver at out site in Rainham.
You will be responsible for the collection and delivery of customer data to customers on specific routes, reviewing prior to delivery/collection while representing the Company both on the road and at customer sites, you must abide by any local rules and regulations, including highway legislation.
Acting as a primary point of contact between Customer and Head Office, you will strive to provide excellent customer service when attending customer premises.
Working in a professional, confidential and security focused manner, you will ensure customer data is handled, collected and delivered in line with Data Protection and Information Security policies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collecting and delivering documentation and other goods within the UK, controlling the movement of documents between different sites and between off-site units, as well as customer premises
- Maintaining and updating paper records that show the movement of documents inside and outside of the company, ensuring accuracy of information for subsequent stages of the process
- Scheduling workloads according to specified turnaround times, planning ahead from precise instructions provided within drivers call sheets
- Carrying duties out within a varied work pattern, involving early starts and late finishes, as on demand from the customer
- Contact with the customer on a daily basis, entering customer premises to remove boxes ready to be transported back to the company
- Responsible for completing the daily vehicle checklist before leaving site on a day to day basis
ABOUT YOU
- Previous multi-drop experience or previous experience from a similar working environment would be desirable
- Customer facing experience – ability to portray a professional company image
- Numeracy – counting boxes and files: recording and checking of reference codes and numbers on lists, boxes, and files
- Team Player but capable of working on own initiative
- Good organizational and time management
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Experience of driving light goods vehicles (3.5t)
