GMMH Facilities are looking to recruit a Porter/Driver for our Facilities Logistics Team to further enhance our services teams who are moving towards a new and exciting future, utilising technological advancements, and rethinking processes to deliver strong service goals to our service users and customers.
The post holder will be the front face of the GMMH Logistics Team, working with colleagues across Facilities and the wider organisation to make sure that the right items are in the right place at the right time to deliver an excellent service to our customers.
The post holder will undertake driving, distribution, and portering duties to meet the standards, policies, and objectives of the Logistics Team and Trust.
The post holder will work as part of the Logistics /Transport Team and will be required to work closely with their colleagues, providing a flexible and comprehensive service offering cover for colleagues when necessary, for which full training will be provided.
As part of the Logistics Team, your day will be varied and a key part of ensuring that our customer's needs are met in an efficient and friendly manner.
There are multiple roles available for this advert, both full time and part time hours to be discussed with candidates at interview stage.
- To act as the front facing contact for customers of the Logistics Team this may involve occasional contact with Service Users.
- To provide a professional, friendly, and efficient image of the Logistics Team.
- To always maintain confidentiality in line with the organisation's Information Governance policies.
- Identify and inform the Waste and Logistics management team of any recurring issues.
- To assist with the sorting process of internal and external mail.
- Transportation of equipment, goods, and food to various Trust sites.
- Maintaining mandatory vehicle records.
- General portering and delivery duties of a routine and non-routine nature.
- Transportation of household, clinical, and confidential waste and to dispose of both safely following the Trust procedures and legislative requirements.

Pay Enhancements – 43% additional for Evenings (8pm onwards) and Saturdays and 85% additional for Sundays and Bank holidays.
